Post announcements and share your league rules

Put a short message in front of your players for as long as you choose, and keep your rules and bylaws where everyone can search them.

The names and results shown are made up (the Maple Street Pool League is a demo organization).

An announcement shows as a banner at the top of your players' pages between the start and end you choose. Use it for things like a schedule change or a sign-up deadline.

Only league operators, tournament directors and the owner can post announcements.

Post an announcement

  1. Open Announcements & email (under Messages) and stay on the Announcements tab.
  2. Under New announcement, choose Who sees it: Everyone in the organization, one league, or one tournament.
  3. Set Starts and Ends. It can run for up to 90 days.
  4. Write a Title (up to 80 characters) and, if you like, a Message.
  5. Optional: add a link. Give both the Link text and the Link address (starting with https://), or neither.
  6. Choose Post announcement.

For example, Maple Street Pool League posts "No play on Thanksgiving week" to the whole organization, starting today and ending the day after the holiday.

The list only offers the audiences you're allowed to post to. Tournament announcements also show on the tournament's public page.

Change or take down an announcement

Your announcements lists each one with who sees it, its dates and its state: Showing now, Scheduled, Ended or Withdrawn.

Your organization can have 20 active announcements at a time.

League rules and bylaws

League rules keeps your rules in sections that players and staff can read and search. Open it from the League rules link at the top of League information or Schedule & standings. Players find the same link on My league.

  1. If you run more than one league, choose the League.
  2. Under Edit the rules, give each section a Heading and its Text. Start a line with "- " for a bullet or "1. " for a numbered item.
  3. Use Add section for more, and Move up, Move down or Remove to arrange them.
  4. Choose Save rules.

Search the rules finds the sections that contain every word you type. The search stays on the page.

Show the rules publicly

Under Public page, tick Show the rules on the league's public page and choose Save. Everything in the rules becomes public, so leave out private phone numbers, emails and addresses.
