Stream your matches with overlays
Set your look in the Brand kit, add a score overlay to OBS or vMix, link a live stream to a table, and switch scenes and messages during play.
The names and results shown are made up (the Maple Street Pool League is a demo organization).
If you stream matches, LeagueOrbit can put the live score on your video. You add an overlay to your streaming software as a browser source, and it follows the match at that table. Here the Maple Street Pool League streams Table 1 at the Maple Street Fall Cup and on league night.
What comes with each plan
- On every plan: one streaming table with the score bug, and the look in the Brand kit (style, size and position).
- With the Organizer plan: every table, every scene, the table message, and your own colours, font, logo, sponsors and theme.
On league night, the free plan streams one table per division.
Set your look in the Brand kit
Open Brand kit from the menu (under Setup). Only the owner and operators can change it; everyone else can look.
Under Look, on every plan:
- Panel style: Solid, See-through (the video shows a little through the panels) or No background (text with a dark outline).
- Size: from 75% to 150%. Text, panels and the logo grow or shrink together.
- Score bug position: bottom left, bottom centre, bottom right, top left or top right.
Choose Save look.
Under Brand, with the Organizer plan:
- Theme: Classic, Felt, Neon or Minimal.
- Panel colour, Text colour and Accent colour (score boxes). LeagueOrbit checks that the text stands out enough from the panel.
- Font and Seconds per sponsor (5 to 30).
- Logo and up to 6 sponsors. Choose Add a sponsor for each one.
Choose Save brand kit. To add a logo or sponsor image, use Images: choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP file, say whether It's a logo or a sponsor image, and choose Upload. Use logos only, not photos of people.
The Preview shows each Scene with your look. Further down, Public page lets your public pages use your brand instead of the LeagueOrbit look, with a layout and a tagline.
Add an overlay for a tournament table
- Open the tournament and choose Broadcast under Extras.
- Find the table and choose Make overlay link.
- Choose Copy address. It's shown only once.
- In OBS, vMix or Wirecast, add a Browser Source with that address, sized 1920 × 1080.
Keep the address private: anyone who has it can show this overlay. If it leaks, choose Revoke next to it and make a new one. A revoked overlay stops showing and says the link isn't valid.
Choose Show preview on the table to see what the overlay shows right now. The tournament needs tables first; add them in Setup.
Add a live stream to a table
- On the table in Broadcast, paste the stream's address into Stream link (YouTube, Twitch, Facebook or Kick).
- Choose Save stream.
The stream then shows on the tournament's public page, and staff see a Watch button on the table to play it. Remove stream takes it off. Tell the players at that table that it's being streamed.
Streams and overlays on league night
League-night tables work the same way.
- Open Schedule & standings and choose Tables & times.
- Scroll to 5. Streams and overlays.
- For each table, use the stream link, Overlay scene, Make overlay link and Show preview, just as for a tournament.
The league-night overlay shows team names and team scores only. A league stream also shows on the league's public page. You need tables in the earlier steps of Tables and times first.
Switch scenes during play
Each table has an Overlay scene. Scorekeepers and operators can switch it at any time, and the overlay follows:
- Off (nothing shown)
- Score bug, the small live score
- Full scoreboard
- Starting soon
- Break (back shortly)
- Winner
- Coming up, the next match
- Sponsors (brand kit)
- Message
Scenes other than Off and Score bug need the Organizer plan.
Show a message
With the Organizer plan, each table can show a two-line message, for example "Welcome to the Maple Street Fall Cup" and "Next match at 7:30 on Table 2".
- On the table, fill in Message, first line and, if you like, Message, second line (optional).
- Choose Save message.
- Choose the Message scene to put it on screen.
Messages can't contain links, email addresses or rude words. Clear message removes it.
