Set starting ratings and use the review queue
Give each player a starting rating, check what changes, and review unusual results.
The names and results shown are made up (the Maple Street Pool League is a demo organization).
Ratings only start moving once both players in a match have a starting rating. Operators set them on the Ratings page (in Teams & players).
See everyone's rating
The Players list shows each player's rating, whether it is provisional, their games and when they last played. Use Find a player to narrow it. Players without a starting rating show Needs a starting rating and a Set rating button.

Set a starting rating
- Choose Set rating next to the player.
- Enter a rating from 100 to 999. Start from what you know about the player; the page suggests a ladder (Beginner 250, Casual 350, League 450, Strong league 550, Advanced 650).
- Choose the date it counts from. Today is the default; an earlier date counts the games already played since then.
- Choose Check what changes to see how many past matches will count, then Save starting rating.

You can correct a starting rating while the player has fewer than 40 rated games; their history is worked out again. After that, use Adjust, which needs a reason and is shown to the player.
The review queue
The Review queue lists players who lost far more games than their ratings expected over their last 40 games. Nothing changes on its own. Choose Look at matches, then dismiss it with a reason or make an adjustment. Players are never told they were listed.
