Pickleball Rating and Statistics: How They Are Worked Out

The LeagueOrbit pickleball rating, and the pickleball numbers in My stats: matches and games won, points per game, and rallies won on serve and on return.

The names and results shown are made up (the Maple Street Pool League is a demo organization).

In Pickleball, My stats shows only pickleball: your pickleball rating and your pickleball record. Your numbers in other sports are kept apart.

The LeagueOrbit pickleball rating

Everyone starts at 500 with their first pickleball singles game in a league or tournament on LeagueOrbit. Each singles game then moves it, by the games won and lost and the gap between the two ratings, the same way LeagueOrbit's other ratings work. My stats lists each change with the opponent and the score.

The rating also shows on a player's card in Pickleball.

Your record

Your record comes from your pickleball league nights (once the match sheet is final) and from the matches you add yourself:

Points and rallies

Games scored rally by rally on the pickleball scoreboard also give:

| Number | How it's worked out | |---|---| | Points per game | Your points divided by the games scored rally by rally | | Point difference per game | Your points minus your opponents' points, divided by those games | | Rallies won | Rallies your side won, out of every rally played | | Won on serve | Rallies your side won while serving, out of the rallies it served | | Won on return | Rallies your side won while receiving, out of the rallies it received |

In doubles, these numbers count for the team: every rally counts for both partners. Games entered only as won or lost count in your record but not in these numbers.
