Message other players and your organizers

Message players in your league or tournament and your organizers, with message requests, mute, block and report to keep it friendly.

The names and results shown are made up (the Maple Street Pool League is a demo organization).

Messages lets you talk with the people you play with, in the app and on the website. Open Messages from the menu.

Who you can message

Message requests

The first time you message a player you haven't talked with, your message is a request. They see it and choose Accept or Decline; replying accepts it too. Until they answer you can't send another message to them. If they decline, you can't message them again for 30 days.

Messages to and from league staff and tournament directors are never requests.

You can start at most 20 new conversations a day.

Mute, block and report

Messages from your organizers

Your league or tournament can send one message to many players, for example "Round 2 starts at 7:30, tables 1–8". You'll get an alert and a phone notification, and it shows on Messages under From your organizers. You can't reply to these; message the staff directly if you need to. You can turn the phone notifications for them off in your notification settings (Messages from organizers).

Turn messages off

Under Settings on the Messages page you can turn messages off (nobody can message you, and you can't send), turn off the email about unread messages, keep or turn off the profanity filter, or delete all your messages for both people.
