Cornhole Scorekeeping: Scoreboard and Cancellation Scoring

Score cornhole at the court on your phone, round by round: tap the bags in the hole and on the board, and the points cancel for you.

The names and results shown are made up (the Maple Street Pool League is a demo organization).

This scoreboard is for games played on real cornhole boards, not a cornhole video game.

The cornhole Scoreboard keeps score for any cornhole game: practice, a friendly game, or a league game. It runs on your phone or tablet and keeps the game on that device.

A cancellation scoring example

Side A lands 2 bags in the hole and 1 on the board: 7 points. Side B lands 1 in the hole and 2 on the board: 5 points. The points cancel, so Side A scores 2 and Side B scores nothing for that round.

Start a game

  1. Switch the Sport switch at the top of the page to Cornhole.
  2. Open Score a match and go to Scoreboard.
  3. Type the two sides' names (optional), choose the Game (to 21, 15 or 11), how many games win the match, and who throws first after the coin toss.
  4. Choose Start scoring.

Score each round

After both sides have thrown their four bags:

  1. For each side, tap + and − to set how many bags went In the hole and how many stayed On the board. In the hole plus on the board can't be more than four.
  2. Choose Score round.

A bag in the hole is 3 points and a bag on the board is 1. Points cancel: only the side with more points scores, by the difference. Equal points is a wash and nobody scores. The side that scored throws first in the next round.

Winning

A game ends at the end of the round in which a side reaches the target (21 unless you chose otherwise). There is no bust: going past 21 still wins. When a match is more than one game, choose Next game; the other side throws first.

Made a mistake? Undo round takes back the last round.

When a casual match is over, Keep it in your stats opens Add a match filled in from the board. Full screen shows the board alone, large, with Back.

League games

On a cornhole league night, choose Score on the cornhole board on your game in the match sheet. In doubles, pick who throws first at your end for each team; partners then alternate each round, and each player's numbers count only the rounds they threw.

For a casual doubles game, tick Doubles when you start and type the four names: the board alternates the throwers the same way. Each finished game is saved to the sheet with its rounds, and Back to the match sheet takes you back to confirm the result.

Your points per round and bag percentages come from the games you score this way: see Cornhole PPR and DPR: How the Statistics Are Calculated.
